Dr. Poonam Mohanty

Dr. Poonam Mohanty is a skilled neurosurgeon with over three years of post-training experience and extensive expertise in complex cranial and spinal procedures. She completed her DrNB in Neurosurgery (2022) from the National Board of Examinations, New Delhi, after earning her MBBS (2013) from Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences, Ranchi, where she was honored as the Overall Best Graduate. Dr. Mohanty has performed and assisted in more than 500 neurosurgical procedures, including minimally invasive spine surgeries, cranial endoscopic procedures, and neurovascular interventions. She has contributed to numerous national and international conferences, authored multiple book chapters, and published in reputed journals including Child’s Nervous System, World Neurosurgery, and the BOHR International Journal of Neurology and Neurosciences. Her research includes pioneering work on Auditory Brainstem Implant Outcomes in children with congenital sensorineural hearing loss.She has also received awards for best papers at national conferences (INDSPNCON 2020 – 2nd Prize; ACNS 2020 – 3rd Prize).
